Theresa Knorr, CARC RCP-F  is a

Certified Addiction Recovery Coach in New York State and a CCAR designated Recovery Coach Professional and Facilitator

 

She is a member of the New York Certification Board trainer registry, an OASAS education and trainer provider,  and a FOR-NY Best Practice Trainer.  She currently serves as the Senior Director of Recovery Education and Training for Friends of Recovery - New York and has served as a subject matter expert, on Peer Professional Supervision, for NYCB.

Theresa has worked in the addiction treatment and recovery field for 30+ years.  She has served as a clinician, program director, clinical supervisor, trainer, community educator, and recovery coach.

 

Theresa completed Holistic Medicine and Tai Chi training at Green Mountain Institute’s College of Oriental Medicine and Eastern Cultural Studies in 2000.  She began teaching Tai Chi in 2001. 

Theresa has been teaching meditation and esoteric psychology in the community since 2002 and training recovery coaches since 2016.  In addition she brings her passion for the importance of wellness and self-care.

She identifies as an adopted person in recovery (relinquishment trauma, codependency & process addictions), a family member in recovery, and a family member of loss.

Theresa will tell you that she is NOT a Tai Chi Master, but rather sharing one of her recovery pathways and evidenced based somatic practice for emotion regulation.
